Hâncu Monastery\r \r A little later, the monks slowly but surely rebuilt cells, wooden churches, warehouses, and auxiliary buildings. But besides the internal decoration, the monastery can boast of beautiful views of the park built in the 18th century, at the height of its splendor.\r \r In the park, you can see fountains, ponds, lakes, alleys, a variety of tree and flower species. And in 1836, the monks rebuilt the beautiful summer church "The Ascension of the Lord".\r \r The church project was taken from the Chișinău Cathedral, so they are very similar. In addition, the monastery was once famous for its rich library and had a parish school. As often happened with Moldovan monasteries during the Soviet era, Hâncu was closed. The monks scattered in all directions, and in its premises, a popular sanatorium was organized.
