12 reasons to choose around.md
Each reason is a promise we keep
🤖
01A catalog with AI search
around.md uses artificial intelligence to understand what you're really looking for. Write "romantic place for a date" or "quiet cafe with Wi-Fi" — AI finds the right place in seconds, even if you don't know the exact name.
The AI technology analyzes descriptions, tags, reviews and opening hours to provide precise recommendations. It's not just keyword search — it's understanding context.
🇲🇩
02Built 100% for Moldova
We're not a global directory adapted for Moldova. We're built from scratch for Moldova — with Moldovan cities, relevant categories, MDL prices and an understanding of local specifics.
We know what matters in Moldova: whether it's open on Sundays, whether there's parking, whether they accept cards, whether it's family-friendly. All of this is in our catalog.
🌍
03Three languages — Russian, Romanian, English
Moldova is multilingual and around.md reflects that. Every place has a description in Russian, Romanian and English. Tourism in Moldova is growing — and foreign tourists can find places in their language.
The complete interface, place descriptions, reviews and filters — all available in three languages. Not just mechanically translated, but culturally adapted.
📸
04Real photos, not stock images
Every photo on around.md is real — from real visits to real places. We don't use stock images or marketing photos that don't reflect reality.
Before visiting a place, you want to know what it really looks like. Our photos are verified and regularly updated by owners and visitors.
⭐
05Verified bloggers who recommend
around.md has a network of verified bloggers from Moldova who have personally tested places and leave recommendations with personal notes. Not anonymous reviews — opinions from credible people.
Each blogger has their own profile with all recommended places, personal notes and TikTok videos about places. It's like asking a friend who knows Moldova well.
🕐
06Opening hours updated in real time
Nothing more frustrating than going to a place and finding the door closed. around.md displays "Open/Closed" status in real time, based on each place's current schedule.
Owners update their schedule directly from their account. Our system automatically checks and displays whether the place is open now, including holidays and special days.
💬
07Reviews with smart tags
Our review system is not just stars and text. Visitors can select specific tags: "Delicious food", "Friendly staff", "Romantic place" — providing structured and useful information.
Tags from reviews accumulate and become part of the place's profile. If 20 people mark "Good Wi-Fi" — that appears as a verified characteristic of the place.
🎯
08Filters that understand Moldova
Our filters are created for the real needs of users in Moldova: "Terrace/Veranda", "Live music", "Child-friendly", "Parking", "Reservation", "Romantic" — not generic categories.
You can combine as many filters as you want: "Restaurant with terrace and live music, open on Sundays, with parking" — and get exactly what you're looking for in seconds.
📍
09Interactive map of Moldova
All places are on an interactive map. You can see what's near you, build routes and discover new places in your neighborhood or any city in Moldova.
The map uses OpenStreetMap and works perfectly on mobile. Tap any place on the map and immediately see complete information.

010Subscribe to promotions
Subscribe to your favorite places and receive notifications when new promotions appear. Never miss discounts and special offers from your favorite restaurants and spas.
The notification system is completely free for users. Owners can publish promotions directly from their business account.
🆓
011Free for users — always
around.md is and will remain completely free for users. No subscriptions, no aggressive ads, no data sold. Our business model is B2B — place owners pay for promotion.
We believe access to information about places in Moldova should be free for everyone. We monetize through services for business owners, not through user data.
📱
012PWA app — no App Store needed
around.md works as an app on your phone without needing to download it from the App Store or Google Play. Add it to your home screen and have instant access, even offline.
