✍️About this place
Hadjimus Monastery is one of the most picturesque Orthodox sites and one of the most revered women's monasteries in Moldova. Many Christians also know this place as the monastery of Saints Martha and Mary. In the summer of 1997, the inspector of the theological school in the Nou-Niametsky monastery of the village of Kitskany, Andrey Kotrutse, began the construction of the monastery. Before the start of work, Andrey Kotrutse received the blessing of Metropolitan Vladimir. The construction began with the construction of several cells for nuns. The next step was the opening of a parish school for girls. Over time, it turned out that the small church was not enough to accommodate all Christians. Later, the foundation was laid for a church with two altars: one for the church in the name of Martha and Mary, the other for the church in the name of Saint Andrew the First-Called. On the territory of the monastery, there is a spring with healing properties. Christians regularly come to the healing spring to drink water and take some for their relatives.
