Муниципальный театр кукол «Гугуцэ»

It first opened its doors to the youngest spectators on November 27, 1992. From its inception, it was conceived as a theater for children, with the aim of educating the national spirit and promoting cultural values in the nation. The idea of creating this theater belonged to a group of intellectuals of the time - the mayor of Chisinau, after independence, Nicolae Costin, director Veniamin Apostol and actor Victor Stefanyuk. The latter became the mentor and artistic director of the theater, where he worked for 18 years, until his passing into eternity. The first productions were «Ivan Turbinka» and «Evolution», which quite corresponded to the modern puppet art, as a result, the theater was invited several times to tours abroad and to various international festivals.
