Республиканский театр «Лучафэрул»

Luceafărul Republican Theatre is one of Chisinau's oldest theatres, founded in 1960 by a troupe of graduates from Moscow's Shchukin Theatre School. The early 20th-century Art Nouveau building with its marble staircase and elegant foyer is worth visiting for the architecture alone — history is palpable here. It's especially great for families with children and teens, as the theatre was originally built for young audiences and proudly keeps that tradition alive.
