Sireț Monastery - A magnificent men's monastery, named by the founders in honor of Saint Great Martyr James the Persian, was founded in 1998, on the day of remembrance of St. James, by the clergy of St. Nicholas Church in Sireț village.
From Chișinău to the monastery, it's only 16 kilometers, so many are recommended to visit it.

The monastery keeps a small reliquary with the relics of St. James the Persian, a particle of the relics of St. Nicholas, a fragment of the wooden cross on which the Savior was crucified.
The monks are actively engaged in educational work. They love their monastery very much and try to improve it as much as possible. There are a large number of flowerbeds with different types of flowers on the territory, everything is well-groomed and cleaned. Currently, the monks plan to build several new buildings, so we recommend you to visit it soon.
