Both destruction, fires, and persecution of clergy could not shake the foundations of faith, thanks to which this monastery exists today. The Veverița Monastery This monastery received the status of a hermitage of the Căpriana Monastery in the late 1940s, but was closed after four years. Part of the monastery's buildings were used as a barn and a warehouse, and the other rooms were deteriorating. The return to the church took place in 1993, and just a year later, the foundation of the winter church and the monastic cells was laid. Currently, restoration work is being carried out in the Veverița Monastery, but visiting this architectural landmark is by no means prohibited. The right wing of the monastery with the winter church is made in the Russian style, and the left part is dominated by Gothic forms. The 35-meter bell tower located above the vestibule is also made in the Gothic style. The local church, the Veverița Monastery, with its three rising domes, looks square inside, with a smooth ceiling and walls adorned with icons.
