Монастырь Злоць

In the Cimișlia district, near the village of Zloți, there is a monastery. The St. George's Men's Monastery is located 15 km from the village of Căinari. Zloți Monastery Abbot Serafim Dabija and hieromonk Grigorie, who came from the Suruceni monastery and the monastery in Noua-Nemțească, decided to establish a small skit, which in the future grew to incredible sizes and was named Zloți, in honor of the village. For some time, the skit was subordinated to the Bender eparchy, but then it became an independent monastery, which greatly advanced it on its way. The monastery was illuminated, as its temple honored St. George, the great martyr, and this happened in 1942. For a long time after that, during the post-war period, the Zloți monastery prospered. It had a large area of land, about 50 hectares. The monastic community took good care of these lands and buildings, everything was well organized, and life there was wonderful, with enough food, which they produced themselves.
