The Holy Trinity wooden church in the commune of Larga is an architectural monument built in 1897 by the boyar Nicolae Crupenski. In 1897 the first liturgy was held, and services continued to be held during the Soviet period – a rare and exceptional case. The paintings were made by a single artist from the Khotyn region of Ukraine, whose signature can still be found on many icons today. It was last restored in 1994. Its plan is laid out in the form of a three-part cross, characteristic of churches from the late 19th century. The nave extends north and south through two parallelepiped-shaped drums. The altar has the shape of a half octagon. The church is distinguished by rich ornamental decoration made up of sawn architectural elements. In its architecture, the church has no analogues; in the post-Soviet space, only one such church has survived, and only in the Republic of Moldova. The temple is made of wood, and its 6 towers cannot be missed; the height of the main tower is 32 metres. The Holy Trinity wooden church, commune of Larga, is part of the Cultural-Tourist Route of Wooden Churches of Romania and the Republic of Moldova.
