Recommendations for visiting the Surprise Cave
The Surprise Cave is not recommended for individual descent. The cave is not «touristic» and being in it is dangerous. A safe descent into the cave is only possible accompanied by a competent person with experience in cave exploration.
Use adequate equipment during descent: overalls made of durable fabric, sports shoes, helmet, headlamp. Always have a spare light source with you.
In the cave, it is strictly forbidden to make loud noise, litter, smoke, consume prohibited substances, use the natural monument as a public toilet.
According to LAW No. 1538 of 25.02.1998 «On the fund of natural territories protected by the state», the Surprise Cave is a protected natural monument in the category of paleontological and geological monuments.
